Amazing book helps those suffering from food addiction lose weight and more!

One of my reasons for starting this blog is to show people how easy it is to follow an SOS-free diet. In case you've never seen that acronym before except in relationship to summoning help when lost at sea, SOS stands for sugar, oil, and salt (or salt, oil, and sugar, if you prefer). I can't give an exact timeline of when the acronym SOS entered the plant-based vernacular, but more than a decade ago, I attended a lecture given by Dr. Joel Fuhrman when he first published Eat to Live . I want to say I first heard "SOS" in reference to food during his lecture, but I can't be certain. Previously, I read Dr. John McDougall's books Maximum Weight Loss and The McDougall Program , where he promotes a diet that avoids oil, animal products, and high-fat plant foods and allows for minimal amounts of sugar and salt.
